I'm about to launch a podcast episode where my guest talks about kincentric leadership and how it links to self-aware leadership. I'd be really interested to know more about your learning journey so if you have a mind to write any articles about kincentric leadership or your learning journey over the next 18 months, I'd love to read them!
Thanks for your interest, Dr. Thomas. I do intend to write about my learning journey around kincentric leadership. I will reach out when I do. Best of luck with the podcast episode!
Starhawk in her book Truth or Dare talked extensively about 'power over' & 'power with'... how does this cohort hope to provide "leadership " outside of a power over mentality run amok?
That's an excellent question Skye, thanks. I could venture a guess but I'll wait and bring this to the group, see what arises out of that, and let you know.
Yes, the power over mentality makes any conversation about leadership tricky. I've never particularly thought of myself as a leader in the common sense of that word, so was surprised to be invited to participate with this group. My personal sense is that "leadership" among kin functions with great fluidity, being passed around to where it's needed, when it's needed. We all lead, in various circumstances, just like you did here with this comment. So thank you.
Thanks so much, Jane. The last time I was in an in person community like this, exploring great stuff, was around DE. I miss the way we lifted each other up and catalyzed each others' growth, as a group, simply by being in the same room together.
Ruan, firstly, thanks for writing, and for your kindness.
Secondly, I just heard from Mandy about your treatment this week – I'm wishing you deep healing and full recovery – I know you've been at this for some time now.
And thirdly, yes, I hear you about greed! Seems to me that greed requires shutting down our hearts, putting distance between ourselves and other beings. If I am not in relationship to others (like the more than human world,) then it's much easier to devolve into a pattern of greed. If I love those others, it's so much easier to gain pleasure from fulfilling their needs as much as my own.
May this week bring you so much deep relief as you receive those healings.

How wonderful, Marga! Congratulations! I'm looking forward to hearing more as you hone your wisdom in this cohort.

That’s such a blessing! I miss that kind of community and am hopeful to find that again too!
Wow, Marga, this is so powerful. Congratulations and thank you for pursuing this program. Looking forward to what's next. Much love.
Thanks so much, Kathleen! Can't wait to share discoveries as they ripen.
