Happy to report that I had the great pleasure of watching the sunrise these past two mornings with my three-year-old. It's not an afternoon nap (which my daughter does take) but it was much needed quiet time just enjoying the changing colors of the morning sky.
My heart goes out to all the mommas who have to get things done during their littles' nap times. So glad you got to watch the sunrise. All forms of being/ non-doing count.
I love this. I am not able to fall asleep in the afternoon, but I’ve taken to laying down and listening to a guided meditation pretty much every afternoon. If I don’t, my nervous system is out of whack in the later part of the day. In a way, my motivation to “rest” in the early afternoon is to be more productive later. So not exactly aligned with your proposition!

We all have to start somewhere ;) May you graduate to naps with zero later day productivity in no time!
