Moon empties herself out to her blackest black by 3:31pm on Sunday, April 27. Set against a backdrop of stars the ancient Seers of India called “Bharani,” these next few days are imbued with the kind of authenticity that often accompanies endings. Sometimes we open up a little when we are saying goodbye, and our Heart’s Truth becomes a little more available to us.
Letting go and restructuring is a big theme this weekend. (Rahu Saturn Venus Neptune in a clump + Mars on opposite sides of the solar system from Pluto). It’s a good weekend for spring cleaning. Just be careful not to toss out some treasures along with what’s truly stale. Renew your inner and outer space with the fresh air of gratitude, thanking the natural world for all she has gifted you, enabling you to walk your Earth walk these past many years.
While there is a great deal of uncertainty and chaos in our global human family, individually we are likely gaining some clarity about our own personal directions, becoming clear about what we are committing to and what we are letting go of. We are likely beginning to glimpse the outlines of the role we are to play in our collective theater of transition.
Speak these realizations to a tree or into the wind. Let Earth be your witness and receive the help she offers as she breathes life into your reformulations.
One important stance we are being invited to take while reformulating our lives, our communities, our professions, our relationships, our wealth, is an attitude of non-clinging. Much may be slipping like sand through our fingers right now. Can that be ok? Can we practice non-attachment when the “Eight Worldly Winds” of Buddhism arise? What would non-attachment feel like? Can we embody the spirit of William Blake’s poem, “Eternity”:
“He who binds to himself a joy
Does the winged life destroy
He who kisses the joy as it flies
Lives in eternity's sunrise”
Also coming soon is an auspicious planetary moment named “Akshaya Tritiya” by the ancient Seers of India. Akshaya Tritiya is a day in springtime in the northern hemisphere when both the Sun and Moon are in exaltation (and some additional cosmic requirements are met).
Beginning at sunrise on Tues., April 29, and ending before sunrise on Wed., April 30, a window of goodness opens that is nice to be aware of. It’s a great day for gratitude, blessing, and restoring faith in the benevolence of the universe, and for feeling hopeful in our forward movement.
This year’s Akshaya Tritiya is especially wonderful due to Jupiter’s conjunction with the Sun and Moon (which happens only every twelve years). Take even a quick moment when you wake up on Tuesday, to give thanks and ask a question something like, “what glorious new adventures await me?”
I love and appreciate your insights, in these essays, Marga! They're such sweet visits with you... <3
I’ll third the visits with Marga sentiment! Beautiful reflections, like having tea and talking. Thank your for your wisdom! 💖
